: Hmm this is an interesting album. It's not really my cup of tea
: barring a couple of songs overall, Living on the Edge being the
: main one. It's a very orchestrated album and seems to be a
: mysterious concept album of sorts.

: I actually like the way JO sings on this release, but the songs
: don't seem very catchy to me bar those couple that I mentioned. I
: actually think this is a very emotional album and the story seems
: quite dark. I think late era Sava fans will love this release
: especially if you like albums like Dead Winter Dead. I am more of
: an early Sava fan the HOTMK era and this album merely hints at
: that style in a couple of songs. In the end this album is not
: going to excite me that much but that doesn't mean it's not a a
: great effort from the "mountain king" and co.

It sounds to me like a very traditional metal album, not really different from anything he did in the early Savatage or early JOP days. Aside from "Winter Haven", I don't get much of a vibe from the post Gutter Ballet Savatage. Global Warning felt more like that, this one is more straight to the point.
