This will be the Euro power metal CD to beat this year. It is far better than the new Gamma Ray, Orden Ogan, or Dream Evil. Will be hard to top.
It starts off with a killer traditional, galloping power metal track. There really aren't any even slightly boring songs on this, plenty of variety, and the production is great (not overly obnoxiously loud and bombastic which had been a trend for awhile but I now notice it is being eschewed, the last two Gamma Rays have been a little calmer too).
The first half of the CD seems more in the traditional Euro power metal style, albeit with much improved songs, and as the end of the CD approaches I noticed more and more modern touches incorporated. This makes for a refreshing-sounding CD with many stand-out tracks.
Definitely recommended.
